Your Skin Breakouts May Not Be The Result Of Bad Skin Or Genes, But These Products

Posted on: 2 July 2016

Some people are unaware that their skin breakouts are being caused by everyday products. Perhaps you are a person who has experienced a recent breakout, and it may seem as though nothing you try is helping to clear your skin up. The following are a few products that could be causing your skin eruptions.

Probiotics

Perhaps you recently started using probiotics to help your digestive system. Probiotics have been known to help some people's skin issues clear up, but it is possible that breakouts may occur or get worse when someone begins to use probiotics. This is an issue that will likely clear up on its own as toxins are released, but initially, you may find it embarrassing or get frustrated by the breakouts.

Food Allergies

You may have known food allergies, but some people consume food products on a daily basis that have allergens in them that they are not aware of. Allergic reactions do not have to be life-threatening, and some people have skin breakouts that may cause discomfort or just appear unsightly as a result of consuming foods they are allergic to. Some processed foods have ingredients in them that also cause skin eruptions. Artificial ingredients are an example of something in processed foods that could cause skin issues.

Laundry Detergent

If you recently switched to a new laundry detergent, it could be the cause of your skin problems. This type of issue may appear as welts or bumps, and they may itch. It is sometimes referred to as contact dermatitis, and if you are allergic to a certain type of laundry detergent or the ingredients in it, you could have a skin flare-ups from something as simple as hugging someone who has washed their clothing in the laundry detergent. You can determine if a newly purchased laundry detergent is the cause for your skin woes by switching to a detergent that is free of perfumes and dyes. If your skin problems improve, you likely are allergic to an ingredient in the detergent.

Beauty Aids

The products you use to enhance your beauty may also have skin irritants that cause breakouts. For example, mineral oil and products containing this type of oil may cause pores to become clogged. Using several skin cleansers to clear up a breakout might cause it to become worse due to irritating the skin.

A dermatology professional is a good resource to use for stubborn breakouts. They may also be able to help you to determine things you are doing on a daily basis that may be wreaking havoc on your skin.
